Is Inconel 718 non-magnetic?

Inconel 718 is one of the most popular nickel alloys due to its versatility. Known for its high strength and corrosion resistance, Inconel 718 is ideal for numerous applications and products.
Available in bar stock form, GNEE group stocks Inconel 718 in 4 conditions: AMS 5662, AMS 5663, AMS 5962, and NACE MR0175 (API 6A CRA).

Benefits of Inconel 718
Due to its exceptional strength and resistance to extreme temperatures, Inconel 718 is an ideal choice for complex components that must retain their integrity in demanding conditions. Some of the many advantages of using the alloy 718 Inconel include the following:

With its unique combination of properties, Inconel 718 is a great choice for numerous applications, from petrochemical to aerospace. It has good weldability and high resistance to oxidation and stress corrosion cracking.

Inconel 718 is stronger than other alloys, allowing it to be used in high-temperature environments as well as under pressure. It features an age-hardened tensile strength of 185- 220 ksi, which is roughly twice as strong as its sister alloy, Inconel 625.

From cryogenic temperatures to 1400 degree F, Inconel 718 remains stable, demonstrating exceptional tensile and impact strength even when exposed to harsh conditions. It also has very low thermal expansion and is resistant to oxidation and corrosion, making it a great option for industries like aerospace, power plants, oil and gas, and more.

Inconel 718 has beneficial protection to atmospheric decay and corrosion at climates within the nickel alloys strength space. It has somewhat-favorable weldability, formability, and exceptional low temperature properties comparable to other PH nickel alloys.
NACE MR0175 Resistance
In the NACE MR0175 form, Inconel 718 has a required minimum yield strength of 120 KSI. It is processed differently than the AMS conditions to enhance its corrosion resistance in downhole tools and completion components.
AMS5663 Resistance
AMS 5663 has a minimum yield strength of 150 KSI which makes it suitable for applications that require intense strength in both the aerospace and oil & gas industries.
